Get a new look for your old basketball court or build a new one using high-performance coatings that are player-friendly and long-lasting.

Outdoor Basketball Court Construction – Standard or Cushioned

The SportMaster system is ideal for a variety of basketball courts – from professional facilities to backyard and playground courts. The coatings can be applied on properly constructed asphalt, concrete, or existing acrylic surfaces. You can choose from a standard base or a multi-layered cushioned base.

As an authorized SportMaster contractor, we build basketball court surfaces using the same high standards and methods as we do on tennis courts, which means we will ensure proper construction methods are used and that the slope and drainage are correct.

Basketball Court Construction Process

1.Site Assessment & Planning

We’ll complete a site visit to evaluate the available space, considering factors such as size, orientation, drainage, and accessibility.

2.Design & Layout

Design and layout factors to consider include the surface material, court dimensions, fencing, lighting, and any other features included in the project, such as seating areas, shade structures, and equipment storage.

3.Foundation Construction

Depending on the court surface material (e.g., asphalt, concrete), the appropriate base layers are installed to ensure stability, proper drainage, and long-term durability.

4.Court Surface Installation

The court surface is installed following industry standards and guidelines to achieve optimal playing characteristics, including consistent ball bounce, grip, and speed.

5.Fencing & Accessories

Pickleball court construction services often include the installation of fencing around the court perimeter for safety and security purposes. Additional accessories can include safety nets, windscreen panels, and other options.

6.Line Marking & Finishing Touch-ups

Lines and markings are taped and then hand painted using acrylic latex paint, depending on the type of surface. We’ll complete a final review of the court and make any necessary touch-ups to ensure a professional and visually appealing appearance.

Basketball Court Resurfacing – 15 Standard Colors

Resurfacing a basketball court is necessary to restore its performance and appearance. Over time, court surfaces wear out due to factors like weather, usage, and regular wear and tear.

For color court surfaces, we apply the SportMaster® ColorPlus™ System, which is a 100% acrylic coating.

These coatings are formulated to resist fading and withstand a variety of weather conditions from ice and snow to intense heat and ultraviolet rays.

Basketball Court Crack Repair

Is your existing basketball court showing signs of age? Get ahead of cracks now before the problem worsens. We are an authorized Armor Crack Repair contractor.

What’s special about the Armor Crack Repair method?

The Armor crack repair product is a specially knitted fabric that expands as a crack widens. Other crack repair methods (eg, fiberglass-based fabrics) do not expand, resulting in tears or delamination as the crack worsens due to temperature-related expansion and contraction.

Court Surface Color Options

SportMaster tennis court coatings are 100% acrylic and produce highly attractive, durable surfaces with player-friendly spin responsive play. Here are the standard court color options. Custom colors are available upon request.
